Katz Orange

One of my favourite places in Berlin for an intimate date on a special occasion

Katz Orange is real hidden gem in Berlin. It has a cozy artistic atmosphere, incredible cocktails and truly delicious food. This place will leave you with a memorable experience and a taste for more.

Their seasonal menu focuses on sustainability, love for good food and detail.

The food at Katz Orange is really meant to be shared, so it’s best if you go there with people that love sharing. And if you’re not that kind a person yourself then you can’t sit with us 💁‍♀️.

On my last visit there with my boyfriend, we shared two starters, two mains, a bottle of good Italian red wine and a couple of cocktails. Here’s what we had:

Katz_Orange_Octopus.jpg

Octopus cooked to the absolute perfection, with black beans, loads of spices and crispy chicken skin.

Katz_Orange_Ceviche.jpg

A blurry picture (still working on getting a real camera or a better iPhone) of an incredible Rottstock Sea-trout Ceviche with orange slices and sugar snap peas. Besides my best friend’s ceviche, this one is by far the best I had.

Katz_Orange_Beef_Sausage.jpg

House-made beef sausage with Jerusalem artichoke and apple mustard. Not your standard Currywurst.

Katz_Orange_Candy_on_Bone.jpg

Candy on Bone – melt in your mouth, slow roasted pork in its own gravy and lemon garlic oil, with golden beets and smoked turnip. So, so good!

Katz_Orange_Fries.jpg

Homemade Fries fried in organic goose fat, with Lime-Chili Mayo. Honestly I don’t remember the last time I had fries this good!

We shared a bottle of a good Italian red wine that was recommended by our lovely waiter, skipped dessert and had cocktails instead.

We had a really great experience and I can’t wait to go back! 💛
